BAF OBSERVES FORMER AIR CHIEF AIR VICE MARSHAL BASHAR’S DEATH ANNIVERSARY

Dhaka, 01 September :- Bangladesh Air Force observed 43rd death anniversary of former Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Khademul Bashar, Bir Uttam on Sunday (01-9-2019) with due solemnity. Air Vice Marshal Bashar possesses the dignity for commanding the 6th sector during liberation war of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Air Force remembers this freedom fighter for his glorious contribution in achieving independence and building of Bangladesah Air Force with due respect and honour. This brave pilot was martyred on 01 September 1976 in a tragic plane accident. Mentionable that, Squadron Leader Mofijul Haque was also martyred in the same plane accident.

 

On this occasion milad mahfil was arranged at the central mosques of BAF Base Bashar and BAF Base Bangabandhu. A special munajat was also offered seeking divine blessings for salvation of the departed souls and for the continued peace and prosperity of the country. Senior BAF officers, Airmen and civilians were present in the milad mahfil.
