Dhaka, 03 February 2020; A Scientific Seminar on “Corona Virus-A new threat to Humanity’’ was held in Armed Forces Medical College, Dhaka cantonment. Key note speakers of Seminar were Brig Gen Md. Rahimgir, Professor & Head, Dept of Microbiology, Brig Gen Md. Shamsul Haque, Professor & Head, Dept of Community Medicine & Brig Gen Md. Abdur Razzak, Professor & Head, Dept of Medicine, Armed Forces Medical College. Maj Gen Md. Mustafizur Rahman, Commandant, Armed Forces Medical College graced the occasions chief guest. Brig Gen Jamil Ahmad, Director KGH was present as special guest. All the senior &junior faculties of the college & the cadets (Students) from all the batches of Armed Forces Medical College participated in the Seminar. In the Seminar detail discussion was held regarding the epidemiology, virology, clinical presentation, management & prevention aspects. More emphasis was given for the awareness among all participants so that they can disseminate the knowledge to their fellow colleagues, amongst family members, patients & society. Faculty members &students also actively participated by comments and question answer session.
At the end of Seminar a poster presentation competition was held in AFMC campus with the participation of students. Commandant AFMC distributed prizes amongst the best performers.
