Tangail, 13 November: – Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc awarded BAF colour to Bangladesh Air Force Base Paharkanchanpur on Wednesday (13 November 19) at Tangail.
On his arrival at the parade ground of Bangladesh Air Force Base Paharkanchanpur, Chief of Air Staff was cordially received by Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Paharkanchanpur, Air Commodore Md. Zahidur Rahman GUP, NSWC, psc.
Chief of Air Staff witnessed the parade at the parade ground of BAF Base Paharkanchanpur. The parade was commanded by Group Captain Mokhlesur Rahman, psc. Chief of Air Staff took part in a special monajat offered for the preservation of Bangladesh Air Force colour.
While addressing to all, the Chief of Air Staff recalled the valiant contribution of the members of Bangladesh Air Force during the liberation war. In his speech, Chief of Air Staff urged all members of Bangladesh Air Force to peruse excellence in professionalism and skill. He thanked all members of the Base for achieving prestigious BAF Colour and advised them to uphold the honour, dignity and pride of BAF Colour. He hoped that Bangladesh Air Force Base Paharkanchanpur will gloriously contribute in Bangladesh Air Force and national arena in future also. Later, Chief of Air Staff signed the Visitor’s book of Bangladesh Air Force Base Paharkanchanpur. Among others, Principal Staff Officer of BAF, General Officer Commanding of 19 Infantry Division, Members of Military and Para-military forces, Elites of local Administration and other members of Bangladesh Air Force were present on the occasion.
Mentionable that Bangladesh Air Force is performing different responsibilities with a good reputation and skill both at national and international arena and Bangladesh Air Force Base Paharkanchanpur is actively and regularly contributing to accomplish these responsibilities. In addition to its routine activities and ensuring Air Defence of the country, this Base conducts VVIP/VIP mission, Medical Evacuation, Search & Rescue mission, daily training missions of BAF, Joint Cooperation mission with Bangladesh Army and Navy, different courses and yearly military exercises with utmost sincerity.
In recognition of the unparalleled patriotism and devotion of the officers, airmen, and MODCs of BAF Base Paharkanchanpur, for the first time in the independent Bangladesh any radar Base has been awarded with BAF Colour.
