BANGLADESH AIR FORCE REPLACES CONTINGENTS IN MALI

Dhaka, January 06:- Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) is going to replace its contingents consisting 110 members at United Nations Peacekeeping Mission deployed in Republic of Mali (MINUSMA). As a part of this replacement 70 BAF members left Dhaka for Mali on Thursday (06-01-2022) by a UN chartered aircraft of Ethiopian Airlines (Boieng 737-800). The remaining contingent members will depart for Mali on 03 February 2022.

 

Group Captain Md Rabiul Hasan, afwc, psc will lead the contingent of Bangladesh Air Force which is going to be deployed in Mali. Mentionable, Bangladesh Air Force has achieved reputation and glory by performing their duties in mitigating conflict with efficiency, professionalism and sincerity in Mali. Special Munajat was offered prior to their departure for Mali at Bashar Base seeking excellence of the contingent in future. Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal M Shafiqul Alam, BBP, OSP, BSP, ndc, fawc, psc saw them off at Bashar Base.

 

Earlier, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan BBP, BUP, nswc, fawc, psc briefed the contingent members on 02 January 2022. While addressing, Chief of Air Staff advised them to discharge their duties with honesty, professionalism and sincerity to bring honour for Bangladesh Air Force as well as for the country. He emphasized to take preventive actions to reduce the transmission of Coronavirus and remain extra careful about it.
