INJURED YOUTH TRANSFERRED FROM RANGAMATI TO CHATTOGRAM BY BANGLADESH AIR FORCE HELICOPTER FOR BETTER TREATMENT

Dhaka, May 04: Jatin Tripura, an injured tribal youth of a small ethnic group at Zopui Para under Sajek Union of Rangamati District, was transferred from Rangamati to Chattogram in a critical condition on Sunday (03-05-2020) by MI-17SH helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force for better treatment.

Bangladesh Air Force has been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) assistance in aid to civil power under Bangladesh Armed Forces. In line with this, Jatin Tripura, a seriously injured tribal youth of a small ethnic group at Zopui Para under Sajek Union of Ranamati District, was flown to Chattogram from Rangamati by BAF MI-17SH helicopter for better treatment. It may be mentioned that Jatin Tripura was seriously injured when he fell from a high hill while zoom farming on 29 April 2020. As soon as he was injured, he was brought to the nearby Zopui Para BOP and first aid was provided at the BGB camp. As his physicial condition was deteriorating gradually, he was airlifted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital by BAF MI-17SH helicopter for better medical care.
