Dhaka, November 09:- The closing ceremony of Inter House Sports Meet & Prize Giving Ceremony 2019-20 of BAF SEMS (Shaheen English Medium School) was held in the school premises on Saturday, 09 November 2019.
Air Vice Marshal M Shafiqul Alam, OSP, BSP, ndc, fawc, psc, Chairman, Managing Committee and Air Officer Commanding, BAF Base Bashar graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He congratulated the winners of different athletic events and distributed prizes among them.
This year Mercury House became Champion securing 11 gold, 10 silver and 6 bronze medals. On the other hand Mars House became Runner up winning 10 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze medals. Jubayer Arefin Bhuiyan from Mars House with 3 gold medals is declared best athlete of the year. This time Mars flight of boys House was judged as the best flight in the annual parade. On this occasion, the Chief Guest, in his speech applauded the remarkable feat attained by the students of the school both in the field of academic and extra-curricular activities. He congratulated the Principal, Teachers and students for their different achievements.
Group Captain Ferdous Mannan, psc, Principal BAF SEMS (Shaheen English Medium School) also delivered his speech on the occasion highlighting the importance of sports in student’s life and encouraged students for their participation.
Finally, Chief Guest handed over Champion and Runner Up Trophy to the Mercury House and Mars House respectively. The function was attended by high officials of Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, parents, teachers, office staffs and students of the school.
