Dhaka, 25 October:- “Mother Hilsa Protection Campaign-2018” is ongoing from 07-28 October, 2018 (22 days) for the main breeding season of Hilsa as part of various steps taken by the present government to preserve the Hilsa resources. For this purpose, the goverment are identified 7,000 square km Hilsa breeding ground and ban catching, selling and transporting Hilsa. As a part of that operation in every year, Bangladesh Air Force is carring out special operation like monitoring and surveillance to identify the location of illegal Hilsa fish collector by helicopter. The operation will continue till 28 Oct 2018.
