Dhaka, 02 Sep 2019: Commandar of Royal Saudi Naval Forces Vice Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily called on Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury on Monday (02-09-2019) at Naval Headquarters in Banani, Dhaka. On arrival at Naval Headquarters, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Rear Admiral M Makbul Hossain welcomed the Royal Saudi Naval Forces Commander. Then a Naval Contingent of Bangladesh Navy gave him a guard of honour.
During the calls on, Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury exchanged greetings with Vice Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily and thanked him for his visit to Bangladesh. During the meeting the Navy Chief laid emphasis on further strengthening the relationship between the two brotherly nations. They also discussed different issues of bi-lateral interests. Besides, the visiting Royal Saudi Naval Forces Commander was also given brief idea about BN training system, operational activities and capabilities. He also signed the visitor’s book in Naval Headquarters.
It is mentionable that, Commander of Royal Saudi Naval Forces along with the delegation team members Rear Admiral Emad Bin Omar Al-Khattab (Head of Naval Force Logistics & Supply Division), Commodore Saad Bin Abdullah Al-Amri (Head of Naval Force Operations Division), Commodore Mansour Bin Saud Aljuaid (Head of Naval Force Intelligence and Security Division), Commodore Mansour Bin Naza Alotaibi (Director of Naval Force Training Directorate), Commodore Mater Bin Salah Almatrafi (Head of the Western Fleet) and Commander Abdullah Bin Fahad Alwaheed (Director of Public Relation and Doctrine Command).
Later, Vice Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily met with Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division at Dhaka Cantonment Lieutenant General Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman.
After completion of the visit, Commander of Royal Saudi Naval Forces will leave Dhaka tomorrow, Tuesday (3rd September 2019).
